Women's Empowerment & Support
Shine Middle East
“Shine” Womenís Empowerment Course
“Shine” is a personal development program run over 8 weeks where women are empowered to recognise their own inner value, to understand their personal strength, and to realise their purpose in life. This program has been hugely successful since its inception in 2012 and is now in high demand across the nation and region.
Since running the first ever “Shine” course in the Middle East in 2012, ILC has now partnered with several other local and international organisations in offering “Shine” in multiple cities in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, as well as 7 other locations within the Middle East where over 300 women have now successfully complete the “Shine” program.
Quotes from Shine graduates:
“No matter what, I will never think of myself as a failure or that I donít have worth. I now know that I have worth everywhere I am”.
“I can now visualise my life in the future without just seeing the obstacles.”
Women At Risk
Providing services, programs and opportunities for women who are victims of domestic violence or suffering from mental health problems is an area of need identified by ILC. Micro-business opportunities and job skills training can enable some of these women towards a degree of self-determination as they gain self-confidence and participate in small business enterprises.
International Learning Centers is registered with both the Israeli Ministry of Social Affairs (2009) and the Palestinian Ministry of the Interior (2012). The parent organization of ILC was registered in 2001 in the State of Colorado, USA, as a non-profit corporation.
